Fundraiser Yoga Class with Christina Ionno

Create causes for wisdom in your life. Help us raise funds to preserve Sanskrit wisdom texts in Nepal so we can preserve and share them for free on the A.L.L. digital database. When you donate $5 recurring monthly, you get to become a member of the club & access this class.

What to expect

About the Class

This is a 1 hour vinyasa class open to all levels and accessible to members  in the private FB group "Guides" section. 


What are we fundraising for?
For the month of August & September, Lightning Club is paying special attention to Asian Legacy Library's activities in Nepal. Did you know that for the past three years we've been working on building a new input center in Kathmandu, Nepal, in collaboration with NIBS (Nagarjuna Institute of Buddhist studies)!? We need to raise money to finish the ALL input center in Kathmandu, so that we can save these texts from being lost and so we can share them for free in the A.L.L. digital library to be translated. The NIBS input center goal is $65,000 and Lightning Club like to cover the cost of at least two computers for the center at only $2,200. Can you help us?


NIBS was started by the late Min Bahadur Shakya and his two sons Miroj Shakya and Milan Shakya. They specialize in Nepalese, Sanskrit manuscripts. A.L.L. has trained 11 nepalese men & women to scan and input texts and the project is managed by Dr. John Campbell and Vimala Sperber of A.L.L.
Stay tuned for a special Dharani project in September being launched at the new center in Kathmandu. Something that Dr. Campbell and Dr. Miroj Shakya feel will benefit the whole world! Dharani means mantra and the goal is to find 108 dharanis in Nepal from different manuscripts, then preserve, scan, input and share for free to the world!! Who is this class for?

This is a great class for beginners or advanced yogis and its open to all ages. If you have injuries please  be responsible by checking with your doctor first and making appropriate adjustments. 


Financial Transparency

-Any member sign ups received before this class  will be directed from the A.L.L general fund to the NIBS project.

-If you donate any extra amount to the button on the right for Sanskrit texts in Nepal, we will send those funds directly to the NIBS and Dharani project in Nepal.


How to prepare for the class?

-Become a member

-Save the LC private FB group to your internet browser's favorites.

-Download the private "what's app" app (to also receive zoom links there) to your phone or computer.

- Get the  video in the private FB group "Guides" section.

- Wear comfortable clothing, optionally have a yoga mat and cushion or blocks if you like.

- If you are new, register/donate the day before and make sure to check your email, spam, and promotions tab in gmail for the email with the zoom link and other member details.

ABOUT OUR YOGA TEACHER

Christina Ionno

Christina Ionno, founder of Dakini Lounge, was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. She settled in New York working as a fashion model in 2008 and has been calling it home ever since. She has been a yoga devotee for over a decade and decided to take the deep dive into the yogic arts in 2019 by completing her 200-hour yoga teacher training with Three Jewels NYC. She has recently graduated from the Three Jewels NYC 200-hour meditation teacher training program and is currently enrolled in their 6-month meditation mentorship program.

Christina loves to share her knowledge of dharma wisdom, meditation and all things yoga to inspire others to reach their greatest potential for overall wellness and enlightenment. She enjoys furthering her studies in Buddhist philosophy and providing fresh a perspective to these ancient teachings.

Lightning Club is the English speaking donor club of Asian Legacy Library 501 c3.  Your financial support of Lightning club gets directly directly placed in the account of A.L.L.. The Lightning Club strives to help you have realizations on your support of timeless wisdom.  

How to become a member

 If you donate $5 or more dollars each month, you can gain access to our exclusive members only Lightning Club. Content is found in our private Facebook Group.  All proceeds support the Asian Legacy Library. 

ALL is the 501 c3  digital library which shares, for free, texts that are safeguarded, preserved and digitized by input projects in India, Nepal, Mongolia and more.  We provide monthly thank you content sourced from wisdom texts.
