What to expect

About the Class

Join us for this free & open yoga class with Vimala Sperber on our Open Facebook page. This is a 1 hour Lady Niguma Yoga class open to all levels and will help you open or untie the knots (chakras) for a mental, emotional, and physical release. 


Special Fundraising Class 

Create causes for financial stability in your life - help us raise funds to support the 11 worldview organizations that help preserve ancient wisdom in the world. This month only, when you donate to the Castle Rock Fund, you win a 1 month free membership to Lightning Club. This special fundraising class will raise money to house the offices and support the projects that translate and teach content from  the Asian Legacy Library (501c3). 

This class will be live-streamed to our open Facebook page, and you won't have to pay or become a member to join.But if you can, please donate any amount. As a thank you, Lightning Club will gift you 1 free month of membership 


What is Lady Niguma Yoga?

Lady Niguma yoga is a special left handed lineage created by a woman that predates the Hatha Yoga Pradipika. The series combines inner and outer methods to achieve yoga or union of body/mind, normal/divine, left/right body. It utilizes a system of twisting, gathering, stretching and dispersing the subtle winds in channels called Nadis. We begin at the root chakra and work our way up to the crown in order to create an opening or untying of the knots(chakras) for a mental, emotional, and physical release.


How to prepare?

-Make sure you have the open facebook group link saved to  your favorite bookmarks and join 5 minutes before class starts at 10am az time. https://www.facebook.com/LightningClubOpenPage

-alternatively become a member and get the Zoom link 1 hour before class in the private FB group/whats app channel.

-wear comfortable clothing, optionally have a mat and cushion or blocks if you like.

- If you are new, register the day before and make sure to check your email, spam, and promotions tab in gmail for the email with the zoom link. 


Who is this class for?

This is a great class for beginners or advanced yogis and its open to all ages. If you have injuries please  be responsible by checking with your doctor first and making appropriate adjustments.

ABOUT OUR YOGA TEACHER

Vimala Sperber

Vimala Sperber (b. Buffalo, NY) has been practicing yoga since she first moved to New York City in 1989. As a gallery owner in Soho (NYC) she eventually moved to a spiritual lifestyle and started studying and hosting Niguma yoga classes on her roof. She studied 18 Buddhist philosophy courses that cover the 5 great books of India  (the equivalent of a doctorate in the states) and went on to complete a three year silent solo meditation retreat where she meditated and did yoga everyday. Vimala completed her 200 hour Teacher training in Sedona after this retreat and has taught locally for resorts, online for The Yoga Studies Institute, and privately as well. Vimala also works for the Asian Legacy Library as head of Special Projects,  where she has located Sanskrit manuscripts in India, started a center in Kathmandu, Nepal and is dedicated to preserving wisdom for the world.

About Us

Lightning Club is the English speaking donor club of Asian Legacy Library 501 c3.  Your financial support of Lightning club gets directly directly placed in the account of A.L.L.. The Lightning Club strives to help you have realizations on your support of timeless wisdom.  

How to become a member

 If you donate $5 or more dollars each month, you can gain access to our exclusive members only Lightning Club. Content is found in our private Facebook Group.  All proceeds support the Asian Legacy Library. 

ALL is the 501 c3  digital library which shares, for free, texts that are safeguarded, preserved and digitized by input projects in India, Nepal, Mongolia and more.
